NYSC Registration: Official 2026 Senate List and Portal Guide

Prospective corps members should use only NYSC-owned websites and the official NYSC Integrated System. Do not let a cybercafé, agent, or friend register for you. NYSC says that proxy registration is not allowed and that biometric verification is part of the process.

Official NYSC registration route

NYSC identifies nysc.gov.ng, nysc.org.ng, and portal.nysc.org.ng as official routes. The live portal displays registration windows and provides services for registration, Senate-list checks, payment status, certificate services, and remobilisation. Never use a link that merely looks similar.

Check the Senate list first

For locally trained graduates, NYSC says only people whose names appear on Senate/Academic Board-approved result lists submitted by their institutions can access registration on the NYSC portal. Use the portal’s Senate-list function and address any issue through your institution and official NYSC channels. Do not pay someone who promises to “add” a name to the Senate list.

Registration essentials

• Use a functional email address that you can access and a Nigerian GSM number; protect the email password used for the portal.
• Locally trained graduates should use the correct matriculation number.
• Provide genuine documents and a passport photograph that follows NYSC’s published requirements.
• Register yourself and remember the fingers used for biometric capture. NYSC says a person who cannot be verified biometrically at camp will not be registered.
• Foreign-trained and part-time graduates have separate requirements or services; read the official guidance for your own route.

Payments, call-up documents, and current batches

Some online services and payment options are explained on NYSC’s official portal, but their availability and terms can be batch-specific. NYSC’s published registration guidance includes an online call-up service payment option and an alternative school collection route; do not assume an old amount or a past deadline applies to the current batch. Confirm the active portal notice before making any payment.

Safety rules

• NYSC warns that anyone who presents a fake document may be demobilised, decamped, and referred for prosecution.
• Do not use proxy registration, sell your login, or send your email password, personal details, or payment information to an agent.
• Do not rely on a screenshot of a “portal open” post. Check the current status through the live official portal.
• Use NYSC’s official website or listed contact channels for genuine support, rather than a social-media account claiming to offer a shortcut.
