Sterling Bank Graduate Trainee: Official Application Status

Update checked 15 August 2026: Sterling Bank has a Graduate Trainee Programme, but its official careers pages do not currently show a general “2026 graduate trainee portal” or a universal closing date. Its job portal shows specific open roles. Treat a graduate application as open only when Sterling’s own page provides an active application period and application medium.

What Sterling’s programme page says

Sterling describes the Graduate Trainee Programme as an entry route for people who meet its stated criteria. The standing requirements on the official page include a bachelor’s degree with at least a 2:2, completed NYSC, and an age limit of 26 at the time of application. The Bank also notes that only candidates who meet its criteria will be shortlisted.

The programme page lists a possible selection path of computer-based test, pre-assessment/documentation, assessment centre, final interview, and foundation school. That is programme information, not proof that every stage is currently running or that an applicant will be invited.

How to check whether a graduate application is live

1. Visit the official Sterling Graduate Trainee page.
2. Open Sterling’s current job portal and look for an exact Graduate Trainee vacancy.
3. Read the full live role before applying. Confirm the title, location, requirements, application period, closing date, and the application method named by Sterling.
4. Follow Sterling’s rule that applications must be made through the provided application medium during the relevant period. The programme page says applications are not accepted by email.
