- Log in to your own JAMB e-Facility/CAPS account and review your personal candidate information and any available admission-status details. Do not share your password, OTP, email login, or registration number with an agent.
- Check the official admissions page of your chosen institution. Its current notice—not a group chat—controls any Post-UTME/screening, supplementary, departmental, transfer, part-time, distance, or other programme information it chooses to publish.
- Read all eligibility, course, O’level, UTME/Direct Entry, fee, document, and deadline requirements before making a payment or changing a preference.

That means a candidate must use the official portal, read the live rules, and wait for the official outcome. The service can be time-limited and its availability/options can change. It is not an admission guarantee.
Use the waiting period productively
- Review where your preparation, subject combination, course choice, documents, or understanding of requirements needs improvement.
- Build useful skills through honest study, digital learning, work experience, volunteering, or a structured portfolio where relevant; do not use fake certificates or invented experience.
- Discuss realistic funding, living, and course options with a trusted parent/guardian, school adviser, or the legitimate admissions office—not a person selling certainty.
- Keep your documents organised and protect your personal data. Use the official support route if you find an error in your actual record.
Admission-scam safeguards
- Do not pay a personal account for “special consideration,” “admission slot,” “supplementary list,” “upgrade,” leaked results, or access to a staff member.
- Do not alter your JAMB result, O’level result, name, date of birth, transcript, or any document. False information can cause rejection and serious consequences.
- Do not give an agent your JAMB e-Facility password, OTP, email login, or identity documents for a service you cannot independently verify.
- Do not treat a broad minimum score or an online list as your course/institution’s individual cut-off, screening result, or admission offer.
- Keep receipts of official payments and use the official JAMB or institution support route for a real issue.
