Status checked: August 14, 2026. The official Police Service Commission (PSC) recruitment portal is at the college call-up stage for successful applicants in the 50,000-constable recruitment exercise. It does not publish a universal live CBT date or a new application opening on the notice reviewed. Successful candidates are to receive official email/SMS notifications and report on dates/times to be communicated for medical examination and documentation.
This page is an official-status and safety guide. It does not provide an exam date, result, call-up slip, job offer, screening appointment, or payment service. Check only your own status through the official PSC portal and messages tied to your original application.
What the official PSC portal currently shows
| Topic | Verified official position | Safe action |
|---|---|---|
| Recruitment stage | The portal says successful applicants in the 50,000-constable exercise have been released and are at the college-call-up stage. | Use the official portal to check your own record; do not treat another person’s result or a screenshot as your status. |
| CBT date | The current call-up notice does not publish a new universal CBT date. The PSC FAQ only describes CBT as a possible stage in the wider process. | Do not pay for, repost, or travel based on a generic “2026 CBT date” unless your official portal/PSC communication confirms it for you. |
| Call-up slip | The portal tells successful candidates to print the college call-up slip and says it must be printed in colour, not black and white. | Print only after your own portal status/instructions authorise it. A print button or shared PDF is not proof that you are called up. |
| Reporting details | Dates and times for reporting to designated Police Training Institutions are to be communicated. | Wait for the official individual notice and confirm the exact reporting location, time, and documents on the portal. |
| Payment | The official portal states that recruitment is entirely free. | Never pay for an application, CBT, result, slip, screening, medical, documentation, training, or appointment. |
- Open the official PSC Police Recruitment Portal directly, not a copied social-media or WhatsApp link.
- Log in only with your original application details. Keep your account password, NIN, BVN, email access, and OTP private.
- Check the portal dashboard and your official email/SMS for your personal status and instructions. The PSC FAQ identifies these as official notification channels.
- If your individual portal record gives a college call-up and print instruction, follow the current instruction exactly. The live notice states that the call-up slip must be in colour.
- Read all location, reporting, document, medical, and timing instructions issued for your own status before travelling or presenting originals.
Do not turn a general process into a personal appointment
The PSC FAQ provides a general recruitment sequence: shortlisting, physical/credential screening, CBT if applicable, medical screening, final selection, and training. It does not mean every applicant has a CBT, has passed, is eligible to print a slip, or is invited to report. The current portal says successful candidates will receive individual email/SMS information, and reporting dates/times are to be communicated. Your personal official record controls.
Only prepare documents after an official call-up
The live PSC notice lists a call-up slip, NIN slip, BVN slip, and original plus photocopies of certificates and other required documents for resumption. Candidates should prepare only when their own official call-up requires it, and should follow any additional or updated instruction on the portal. Do not hand original documents or identity records to an agent, group administrator, or person claiming to print a slip for you.
Fraud, payment, and identity safeguards
- The PSC says the recruitment is entirely free. Never pay for a CBT date, question pack, result, shortlist, call-up, slip, medical, training, or “slot.”
- Do not share your portal password, email password, NIN, BVN, OTP, bank-card details, or original certificates with an unverified person.
- Ignore persons who promise to change a portal result, guarantee a CBT pass, issue a private call-up slip, or add your name to a college list for a fee.
- Do not submit altered certificates, identity documents, guarantor forms, NIN/BVN records, or medical information. You remain responsible for your own application materials.
- Use the official PSC portal/support details to report suspicious activity rather than responding to the suspected scammer.
