NSCDC Recruitment: Official 2026 Status and Scam-Safety Guide

NSCDC recruitment 2026 application guide in Nigeria

Status checked: August 14, 2026. The official CDCFIB portal says its physical-screening scheduling portal for the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise is closed. This is not a new NSCDC application opening. Existing candidates should follow only the official update for the stage connected to their own record.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) participated in the prior CDCFIB recruitment exercise alongside NCoS, NIS, and the Federal Fire Service. A previous recruitment notice or application guide cannot confirm that a new 2026 form is available. Only a dated notice published by the official service/board should be treated as a genuine new call.

Current official status

The official CDCFIB Recruitment Portal says that scheduling for physical screenings in the 2024/2025 exercise is closed. It asks applicants to check back through official channels for next-phase updates. If you were not part of that intake, do not register through a link or agent claiming that NSCDC recruitment has reopened.

Guidance for existing candidates

  • Check only the official CDCFIB portal and current official service notices for the next step relating to your own application.
  • Keep your login details, email access, and application records private.
  • Do not pay for a shortlist, CBT, physical screening, medical, training, clearance, or appointment letter. CDCFIB recruitment is described as free and strictly merit-based.
  • Treat every message, document list, deadline, or screening invitation as cycle-specific until it is confirmed on an official channel.

Historic one-agency rule: context only

The June 2025 CDCFIB notice said applicants could apply to only one of the four participating paramilitary agencies, including NSCDC. That was a requirement of the previous intake; it does not prove a live opening or replace a future official notice.

Recruitment-scam safeguards

  • Do not pay an agent, cybercafé, social-media account, or contact claiming they can secure an NSCDC place.
  • Do not upload certificates, NIN details, photographs, bank details, or identity documents to an unverified site.
  • Do not share account passwords or one-time codes with any third party.
  • Verify future notices directly through official CDCFIB and NSCDC channels before taking any action.

Official sources

Last checked: August 14, 2026. NSCDC and CDCFIB recruitment instructions can change. Verify a dated official notice before applying, paying, sharing documents, or responding to a recruitment message.
