Codekeeper is a remote-first software escrow company with a central office in The Hague. It is hiring across sales, marketing, customer success, product development and operations, and every listing on its public career page is marked remote. If you are looking for remote work with a company that sells to software businesses worldwide, it is worth a close look. This guide explains what Codekeeper does, which roles are open on its career page, what each role asks for, how to apply, and how to check whether a listing is still accepting applications.
What Codekeeper does
Codekeeper was founded by technology professionals to modernise software escrow. In simple terms, software escrow means a company deposits a copy of its source code with a neutral third party, so a customer can still access the code if the vendor goes out of business or stops supporting the product. Codekeeper describes its platform as a disaster recovery solution that reduces third-party risk for businesses that depend on software they do not control. Its public pages describe a SaaS source code escrow platform sold to customers through inbound sales.
The company says it is remote-first and keeps a central office in The Hague in the Netherlands. Its job pages tell applicants they can reply in either Dutch or English, which is useful to know if your first language is neither.
Where the openings are listed
The official career page is hosted at codekeeper.applytojob.com/apply. When this guide was checked, that page listed about 27 open titles, all marked Remote. The roles fall into five groups:
- Customer Success: Client Success Specialist (LegalTech), two paralegal roles focused on customer service in LegalTech, QA and Verifications Engineer, QA and Verifications Specialist, Software Verification Engineer, and Software Verification Specialist.
- Growth: Account Manager, Business Development Representative, Digital Product Designer, Go-to-Market Project Manager, Growth Specialist, Outbound SDR (US Time Zone), Product Designer (Figma), SaaS Sales Specialist, Sales Development Representative (US Time Zone), Sales Executive, Sales Representative, and UI/UX Designer.
- Marketing: Content Marketing Strategist, Marketing Copywriter, and Marketing Operations Specialist.
- Organization: Business Analyst (Product-Focused), HR Talent Coordinator, Program Manager, and Project Manager.
- Product Development: Back End Engineer, Frontend Developer (React), and Full Stack Developer (JavaScript).
The careers page is the only source for current listings. Third-party job boards can show roles that have already been filled, so always confirm a role on the official page before you apply.
What the technical roles ask for
The developer listings are demanding. The Full Stack Developer (JavaScript) role asks for a computer science degree, at least five years of hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and React or the Context API, and at least three years with Next.js (App Router) and GraphQL or Apollo. It also expects TailwindCSS, Git, testing experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Jest with React Testing Library, and PostgreSQL or MySQL with an ORM such as Prisma or Drizzle. Serverless and edge experience, CI/CD with GitHub Actions or Vercel, and familiarity with AWS are listed as nice to have.
The Frontend Developer (React) role lists five or more years with JavaScript, TypeScript and React in single-page applications, three or more years with GraphQL and Apollo, and experience with Ant Design or TailwindCSS. It asks for visual regression testing with tools such as Cypress, Playwright or Storybook, and sets the region as Europe, CET (plus or minus one hour). Check that time-zone requirement carefully before you apply from elsewhere.
The Software Verification Specialist role is more accessible if you have a development background but not senior experience. It asks for three or more years in development or DevOps, two or more years with Linux, Windows and macOS fundamentals, and a working understanding of Git and databases such as MongoDB, SQL or MySQL. Familiarity with build tools such as webpack or Maven and with AWS is listed as beneficial.
What the sales and growth roles ask for
The SaaS Sales Specialist role is aimed at people with one to two years of sales experience and a track record of meeting targets. The job is inbound-led: you respond to customer emails, follow up on leads, run online platform demos, build email sequences, test different approaches and negotiate offers. Clear written and spoken English is required, and comfort with online demos is expected.
The Sales Development Representative (US Time Zone) and Outbound SDR (US Time Zone) roles are built around US hours, so check the listing for the working hours before you apply. The company also lists Account Manager, Business Development Representative, Sales Executive and Sales Representative roles, plus a Go-to-Market Project Manager role that combines marketing strategy with execution.
What the operations and compliance roles ask for
The Compliance Officer role, which appeared on the careers page in earlier listings, combined compliance program development, risk assessments, policy implementation and training with project management. It asked for prior experience in compliance or project management, English at a professional level and familiarity with tools such as Google Docs, Zapier and Linear. Experience with certifications such as ISO 27001 was listed as a plus. The Project Manager role described a hands-on coordinator who keeps initiatives on time and works across teams. Check the live page for the current status of these roles, because listings change.
How to apply
- Open the official careers page at codekeeper.applytojob.com/apply and read the full listing for the role you want.
- Check the required location and working hours, especially for the US-time-zone sales roles and the CET-region engineering roles.
- Write an application that speaks to the role. The company’s instructions ask you to show how you would fit into its future, address some of the work it does, and introduce yourself as a future colleague.
- Reply in Dutch or English, as the listing allows.
- Keep copies of your CV, portfolio or code samples ready. Engineering roles are likely to ask for them.
Closing dates and how to confirm a role is open
Several Codekeeper listings say applications will be accepted over the next two months, and the company says it will fill each role once it finds the right candidate. Those statements were made when each listing was posted, so no fixed closing date is printed on the page. Because of this, the safest approach is to apply early and to check the official careers page on the day you apply. If a role has disappeared from the list, it has most likely been filled or closed. The page is the only source that can confirm whether a role is currently open. If you cannot confirm a listing, check the official site before you assume it is available.
Interview process and what to prepare
The public listings do not describe the full interview process, so check the official site and the company’s own communications for stage-by-stage details. For a technical role, prepare to discuss your past projects, your experience with the named frameworks, and how you have handled testing and deployment. For sales and marketing roles, prepare examples of your results, how you have responded to inbound leads, and how you would present a software escrow product to a business buyer.
Scam warning
Scam warning: a legitimate remote job never asks you to pay for training, equipment or a “placement” fee, and it never asks you to send money to a personal account before an interview. Apply only through the official careers page or through the company’s own website at codekeeper.co, and be cautious of any message that claims to be from Codekeeper but arrives through a personal email or messaging app.
Frequently asked questions

Do I need to speak Dutch? No. The listings say applicants may respond in Dutch or English.
Is there a fixed closing date? The listings do not print a date. They say applications are open for about two months from posting, so check the page for the role you want and apply early.
What is the best role for a beginner? A software verification or customer success role may suit a career switcher better than a senior engineering post, though the verification listing still asks for three years of development or DevOps experience.
Where should I apply? Only on the official careers page, codekeeper.applytojob.com/apply, after checking the listing on the page itself.
