At the time of verification, the vacancies on the FCSC portal were marked closed. The exercise covered 70 vacancies across 19 MDAs. The FCSC said in its press response of August 31 that the computer-based test (CBT) date had not been announced. Do not rely on any date given by a third party. - When an exercise opens, go to recruitment.fedcivilservice.gov.ng and read the current vacancies and rules.
- Register and complete your profile carefully, entering names and dates exactly as they appear on your certificates.
- Select the one position you qualify for and upload the required documents.

How to check your application status
Log in to the official portal with the account you created and check the status of your application there. Do not rely on messages from third parties about shortlisting. If the portal shows a test or an interview stage, follow the instructions in the notice. Keep your login details private, and check the official pages rather than group chats for updates.
What to prepare before the next exercise
- Clean scans of your certificates, your NYSC discharge certificate where it applies, and a valid means of identification.
- A working email address and phone number, because updates arrive there.

If a screening test follows, prepare for general knowledge, current affairs and the subject matter of your cadre, and bring your original documents on the day.

The FCSC does not sell application forms and does not charge a fee to apply. No “agent” can secure a federal job for you. Ignore any WhatsApp link, cloned portal or person asking for payment. If a website is not the official government domain, do not enter your details. Anyone who promises a guaranteed slot for money is a scammer, and reporting them to the official channels is the right step.
